“I’LL SUCK THE SOUL OUT YOU!”

QUICK THOUGHT: “I’LL SUCK THE SOUL OUT YOU!” @SHANTELLEWRITES FEB 8, 2025 Reflecting on my man’s comments about why men finally settle down.

FLESH OF MY FLESH, BLOOD OF MY BLOOD

Genesis 2 | ADAM AND EVE

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones
    and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

YOU CAN’T SUCK MY SOUL

MY MAN, OR AT LEAST I THINK HE’S MY MAN NOW, TOLD ME HE WAS LUCKY THAT HE LEARNED EARLIER THAN 50, LIKE HIS OLDER HOMEBOYS, TO SETTLE DOWN WITH ONE WOMAN SO SHE CAN TAKE CARE OF HIM IN OLD AGE. SO HE DOESN’T HAVE TO GO TO A NURSING HOME (OR BE HOPELESS LIKE HE SEES HIS DAD NOW). HE PREACHED TO HIS YN WORKER THAT SLEEPING WITH MULTIPLE WOMEN IS LIKE SPREADING YOUR DEPOSITS AT MANY BANKS WITH NO RETURN. YOUR WIFE CAN’T GIVE YOU BACK YOUR DEPOSIT BUT SHE CAN TAKE CARE OF YOU IN OLD AGE, IN RETURN.

I THOUGHT WHAT IF SHE MAKES MORE MONEY THAN YOU? BUT HE’S NOT TALKING ABOUT MATERIAL WEALTH. HE’S TALKING PHYSICAL WEALTH. SPERM IS A LIFE FORCE. I LAUGHED AND LAUGHED AT HIS OBSERVATION OF WOMEN, AFTER SEX–TAKING THAT ENERGY FORCE AND GLOWING AND BEING TWICE AS PRODUCTIVE AT WORK WHILE THE MAN IS DEPLETED AND DOESN’T WANT TO WORK. SPERM IS WHITE LIKE BONES AND ON REDDIT IT SAID THE SPERM IS EATING THE MALE BODY.[1] OBVIOUSLY IT HAS SOME LIFE IN IT BECAUSE IT CREATES LIFE! BUT, WHAT HASN’T BEEN STUDIED IS THE EFFECT OF SPERM ON THE FEMALE BODY BEYOND REPRODUCTION. WHEN A WOMAN SAYS,“I’LL SUCK THE SOUL OUT OF YOU…” HE LAUGHED, SHE MEANS IT. IT’S A REAL GOAL.

DO WE WANT MEN’S SOULS? YES. PERHAPS IT’S PART OF INTIMACY. PERHAPS IT’S WAR ON PATRIARCHY. A DYKE CAN WEAR A STRAP BUT SHE CAN’T GIVE ME LIFE. SHE WANTS TO MIMIC THEIR SOUL, NOT GET ON HER KNEES AND SUCK ON THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH.

THE NEW PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR

Women live longer and make up a larger proportion of the Medicare population (Medicare Beneficiary Demographics, 2006). In addition, women live with greater disability and more chronic disease than men. For example, chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, dementia, depression, and obesity are more common in women (Lubitz & Riley, 1993). Primary care medicine may improve this efficiency, because it is intended to address comprehensiveness, coordination, continuity, and “sustained clinician–patient partnerships” with the family and community (Montgomery et al., 2004). [2]

Enjoy your life. Connect the story of your life and find your purpose. Be grateful you live longer and DECIDE to live even longer! Don’t just connect to that man that will leave you when you're young and when you’re old! Make female friends who will be with you at the end of time. They talk more. Use the 3,000 extra words we speak per day to find intimacy with other women. That’s who you want to share with. Be a girl’s girl and you’ll be immortal. Despite what they say, it’s a lovely thing to become your MOTHER.

You gotta control your smiles and cries, cuz that’s all you have, and no one can take that away from you.” - Ethan Hawke as Jake, Training Day (2001)

Watch:

I married my mother by Nikki Giovanni[3]

I know crying
Is a skill
I automatically wipe
My eyes even though I know
Crying
Is a skill

Maybe I will learn
My mother did
When she thought
I was asleep
I think my sister did
Sleep
But sleep is as difficult
To me as crying
I laugh easily
And I smile
And withhold any true
Feelings
Except once I fell in love
With my eighth grade teacher
And spent most of my life trying
To feel safe
Again
Though maybe I’m safe
Now

After almost thirty years
Which is as long
As I lived with my mother

Maybe that’s not a poem
Maybe that’s something else
Maybe I just wanted to show my father
That he needn’t be
Cruel
Maybe I just enjoyed buying
The house he had to live in
Showing her she should have married
Me instead of him
Or maybe we all will soon
Be gone
I should be happy I found
My mother in someone
Else who loves me

What else
Really matters
